Invasive Surgery for Forearm Fracture

Invasive Surgery for Forearm Fracture

An orthopedic surgeon advised David toward an invasive surgery for a forearm fracture. This surgery would involve a plate and screws, as well as requiring a bone graft from David’s pelvis or a bone bank. Being an active athlete and bodybuilder, David feared the chance of a rebreak. He also feared the possibility of permanent limitations in his range of movement.

When David connected with a 2nd.MD specialist, the doctor suggested a medication that stimulates bone growth. After taking the suggestion to his primary care physician where he received the prescription for such medication, David recovered.

David has been able to return to weight-lifting and looks forward to pursuing his bodybuilding dreams.

I would have always feared re-injuring my arm, and never pushed myself as hard again.
