Taylor fell ill with strep throat in 2016. During that time, her heart rate spiked and has remained high ever since, even while resting. Her local doctors have not been able to determine the cause and unfortunately, she has been admitted to the ER twice with chest pain and her heart “racing”.
Taylor’s mother took notes while the 2nd.MD specialist reviewed Taylor’s symptoms. He discussed different diagnoses to consider, and although they are rare, he said they should not be ruled out. The specialist suggested different testing which could be done to determine if either of these diagnoses could be ruled out.
Taylor and her mother were happy with the consult and requested help in finding a local doctor who specializes in heart rhythms. They said they felt like they were finally speaking with a healthcare professional who cared and wanted to help.
