Job Description:

The Account Manager supports 2nd.MD’s National Account Executives in their day-to- day client management responsibilities.

 Location: USA (Western U.S. preferred)

 Reports To: National Account Executive


  • Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual report preparation and review
  • Internal liaison between marketing, creative, and production to ensure communication initiatives are delivered timely
  • Support Account Executive in client meetings, presentations and sales opportunities
  • Troubleshoot census/eligibility problems as needed
  • Support local face-to-face client initiatives (e.g. health fairs, wellness events)
  • Identify and produce monthly member testimonials/success stories to share with clients
  • Support new client implementations and ensure the back end system set up before new clients are launched
  • Assist with ad-hoc requests from the Account Executive



Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with a high growth company in the benefits or healthcare space, a commercial healthcare carrier or a benefits consulting/brokerage firm is preferred, but not required.
  • 1-2 years of client management/benefits consulting experience
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Good  communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and other data visualization tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing cabinets.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  
  • This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Travel is national as needed, approximately 30%, but may vary over time.
