Job Description:

Summary/Objective: The Healthcare Copywriter will be responsible for writing, editing, and proofing all marketing materials, campaigns, and promotions across various print and digital channels. They will partner cross-functionally with the Sales Team, Member Engagement Team, and Technology Team to turn brand-level strategies and business goals into actionable communications that increase engagement and utilization. 


Our Dream Candidate: A Writer’s writer. 
Loves to write and create copy that compels people into action. Can write both short and long-form copy. Understands the importance of creating outlines. Has their own writing voice, but can also write in whatever voice is appropriate for the audience. Is capable of writing both complex and easily comprehensible copy. Is able to edit and re-edit copy into perfection. And can pick out a misplaced comma from a mile away.

Responsibilities:

  • Write compelling copy for healthcare and sales initiatives
  • Strategize, conceptualize, write, edit, proof
  • Create 360 campaigns, testimonials, mailers, emails, blog posts, presentations, social media posts, videos, web pages, press releases, and white papers
  • Collaborate with the sales team, member engagement team, marketing team, social media team, technology team, nursing team, and public relations team
  • Work alongside a team of creative writers and designers
  • Promote 2nd.MD’s services across various B2B and B2C2B channels

 

Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Healthcare writing and sales writing experience
  • Superior writing, editing, and proofing capabilities 
  • Experience working within a team
  • Ability to create outlines and templates 
  • Highly organized, self-directed and resourceful 
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments 
  • Exceptional attention to detail 
  • Healthcare, sales, marketing, advertising agency experience desired 

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Journalism, Writing, Marketing, Advertising)
  • 3+ years of writing experience. (Healthcare / Sales writing preferred.)
  • Healthcare system, wellness programs/products or sales experience is a plus

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers and filing cabinets.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  
  • This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
