Job Description:

The National Account Executive is responsible for oversight, performance, and retention of key 2nd.MD customer relationships in the health plan line of business.

Location: USA

Reports To: Director - Health Plan Relationships

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving overall and account specific budgeted service utilization
  • Developing and maintaining close business relationships with clients
  • Strategic planning, execution, and follow up of customized account initiatives
  • Interfacing with senior decision makers in the healthcare landscape
  • Oversee quarterly and yearly client reports for accounts
  • Responsible for client renewals (e.g. contracting, pricing, new terms)
  • Support sales team at prospective client meetings as a subject matter expert on the client management function of 2nd.MD
Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with a high growth company in the benefits or healthcare space, a commercial healthcare carrier or a benefits consulting/brokerage firm is preferred, but not required.
  • 7 years account management/health plan/ benefits experience
  • Demonstrated track record of client retention and inside sales growth
  • Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and filing cabinets.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  
  • This is a full-time position, and general hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Travel is national as needed, approximately 30%, but may vary over time.
