Job Description:

Summary/Objective:  The technical monitor is responsible for ensuring phone and video consultations are connected in a timely manner, in addition to basic help desk functions.


Location:                           Houston, TX

Reports To: Monitor Department Manager


  • Provide exceptional technical customer phone support.
  • Ability to troubleshoot connection difficulties and communicate steps to resolve.
  • Follow 2nd.MD and facility protocols and procedures for monitoring consults.
  • Manage consult schedule and schedule back-up monitor as needed.
  • Communicate closely with members, doctors and nurses regarding consult details.
  • Ensure timeliness of consult connection.
  • Complete documentation and enter consult metric data as assigned.
  • Communicate technical or connection issues in a timely manner with the internal 2nd.MD team.
  • Additional help desk assistance as assigned.

  • This is a full-time position with work hours in conjunction with 2nd.MD's guaranteed service operations. There are opportunities for rotational flex scheduling among the HIS department Supervisors.
