Professional Focus Dr. Iris Orbuch is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology specializing in gynecologic laparoscopy procedures. Dr. Orbuch's medical interests include minimally invasive procedures and treatment related to endometriosis, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, and ovarian cystectomies. She is considered an expert in laparoscopic excisions evolving around endometriosis as well as other gynecologic conditions.

After receiving her undergraduate degree with distinction from the University of Michigan, Dr. Orbuch earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lenox Hill Hospital and then continued her training with a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Pelvic Surgery at the Downtown Hospital through New York University.

Currently, Dr. Orbuch serves as the Founder and Director of IrisWings-Sanctuary for Endometriosis Surgery & Wellness.

Dr. Orbuch's past research has focused on endometriosis, biopsies of endometriosis lesions, robotic and laparoscopic techniques, and co-morbidities related to endometriosis. She has been published in multiple journal articles and books on subjects encompassing all scopes of endometriosis and laparoscopy and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures.
