Meet Stephanie, a mother of four who enjoys camping and cheering on her children while they race their go-karts. Though it’s not as exciting as the track, Stephanie also enjoys her job here at 2nd.MD, where she helps to maintain the payroll system and make sure our employees are paid properly and on time.

“I maintain the payroll system and make sure employees are paid properly and on time!”
Why do you do what you do?
“It’s important for employees to review and understand their pay but I know it can be overwhelming with payroll and tax laws changing constantly. I am passionate about educating people on how they can fully understand their pay and enjoy sitting down with employees to assess their personal data to ensure they are comfortable and knowledgeable looking at their paycheck.”
What do you enjoy most about what you do here?
“I absolutely love that I get to implement a brand new, innovative payroll and Human Capital Management system to 2nd.MD! It will be such a game-changer for the organization and it’s exciting to be a part of it!”
What are your hobbies and interests?
“My family and I enjoy camping and racing go-karts! Two of my kids race karts year-round so we spend a lot of time at the track and we love it!”
What are your goals for the future?
“Currently, my goal is to transition to the new payroll system seamlessly! And I would like to earn my Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) license within the next couple of years.”
Are you currently studying anything?
“If the IRS Employer’s Tax Guide (Publication 15, Circular E) counts, then yes. I’m always studying IRS documents, Department of Labor changes, wage and hour updates, and federal, state, & local payroll laws. They are all constantly changing.”
