We at 2nd.MD are deeply saddened by the unnecessary and unjust loss of life, opportunity, and equality, and we are committed to doing our part to build “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
We believe in the supreme dignity of every individual; that every person has infinite worth and value. We work to the utmost of our ability to save and improve lives as we strive each day to reduce human suffering.
We believe that “all people are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” We fight against the injustice, prejudice, and racism – in our own hearts and in the broader world – that threaten these rights.
We pray that, spurred by these days of pain and tragedy, Americans take action to right these wrongs. We have faith that amidst pain and tragedy “there abide faith, hope, and love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.” To put action behind these words, over the next year, 2nd.MD will donate 1,000 hours of community service to affected Houston communities and 100 of our healthcare services to community members and first responders in Houston.
We will endeavor to turn these efforts into long-term relationships with our local communities so that the knowledge and abilities of our diverse and talented team can continue to be shared in love with those in need. Today we mourn; tomorrow we build.
